Dirt Track

Dirt Track is similar to speedway, in that its run on closed tracks that are completely flat, on a gritty shale surface. Dirt Tracks are usually 450m - 1830m long. However, unlike speedway, dirt track circuits have both left and right hand bends and you do not need a specialized machine like a slider or speedway bike. Many Australia's top road racers have come from Dirt Track, like Wayne Gardner, Mick Doohan and Casey Stoner.
